Pulaski Tehcnical college, Little Rock South Campus, is one of seven Pulaski Tech campuses located in central Arkansas. Pulaski Tech, a comprehensive two-year college, offering associate degree and certificate programs.
The College's history dates back to October 1945 when it was established as the Little Rock Vocational School under the supervision of the Little Rock Public Schools. In October 1969, administration of the school was transferred to the Arkansaas Board of Vocational Education and the school was named Pulaski Vocational Technical School. When the Arkansas Genral Assembly created the Arkansas Technical and Community College System in 1991, Pulaski and 12 other vocational-technical schools became technical colleges under the coordination of the Arkansas Board of Higher Education.
Pulaski Tech's Automotive Technology program is recognized by the NATEF and provides students with competencies in all eight service areas of the Automotive Services Excellence program and EPA training to handle Automotive Refrigerants. The college also offers Automotive Technology, Alternative Fuels, Engine Machinist, Parts Specialist and Tire Center Operator Certificates of Proficiency.
