The NAFTC offers firefigher, emergency medical services, and law enforcement first responders courses on alternative fuel vehicle safety. The program also offers a comprehensive courses for those interested in becoming a course instructor.
These three stand-alone courses are designed to educate firefighter, emergency medical services, and law enforcement on how to safely interact with an alternative fuel vehicle involved in a traffic incident. This includes education on the fuels, their properties and origins, how these vehicle differ from conventionally fueled vehicles, and proper, audience specific, procedures to implement when dealing with an accident involving an alternative fuel vehicle.
