EV-AAS Workshop

Project Overview

STIPENDS AVAILABLE!

Stipends of $500 cover out-of-pocket expenses for those who complete the entire workshop.

See details in the Stipend Section

NAFTC members identified the creation of standards for an accreditable EV degree program as a priority issue.

NAFTC secured federal funding that led to this project.  The project addresses hybrid and battery electric vehicle technician requirements to meet demand.

NAFTC members believe that EV education standards assure students, their families, and their prospective employers of the quality of EV education offerings.

NAFTC members built the recommendations on the ASE Education Foundation automotive degree program accreditation guidelines.

This online and in-person hybrid workshop shares the recommendations. Scroll down to see a complete description about the workshop.

Community and Technical College automotive instructors, automotive department chairpersons, and CTC deans or similar leaders are eligible to participate in the workshop.

NAFTC is not an accrediting organization. NAFTC members accredit their automotive programs through the ASE Education Foundation. Thus, the project team based the EV recommendations on the ASE Education Foundation’s automotive accreditation guidelines.
