Education Membership Dues: $750 per year

NAFTC Learning Center

Learn More About the NAFTC's unique Online Resource Center

The Learning Center includes a library of all NAFTC curricula and educational materials and a community room where instructors may share news and ideas about alternative fuel and electric vehicle training and education. Access to the Learning Center requires NAFTC membership. Institutions must apply to receive membership. Minimum membership requirements include the institution to offer an automotive program that is ASE Certified and maintains a minimum annual program enrollment of 30 students per semester across all automotive programs taken together.

The Library houses the complete collection of NAFTC educational materials available to all automotive instructors of an active NAFTC Education Member for an annual subscription. Materials include instructor and student textbooks, instructor PowerPoint slides, tests, shop exercises, and related items. Textbooks may be used online only, while supplementary materials may be downloaded for use by instructors in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

$2,250 per year covers all instructors at an active Education Member institution and grants rights to view all materials including student/participant materials. The Member institution is asked to provide a list of all instructors’ names and emails which NAFTC HQ enters into the Learning Center as eligible for Instructor access. Allow 48 hours for processing. Instructors then claim their individual account through an initial log-in procedure. Annual membership dues must be up to date at the time of subscription.

$2,000 per year covers up to 50 students of a Member institution. The institution must have participated in an NAFTC train-the-trainer program to be eligible for a student access subscription. Upon subscribing, the subscriber will receive a set of 50 access codes to distribute to students. The code allows access to online viewing of all student/participant titles in the library. Annual membership dues must be up to date at the time of subscription.

$3,500 per year premium package includes annual dues and Instructor and Student Library Subscriptions.

Instructor Community Room

FREE with Annual Membership, the Instructor Community Room is a virtual space exclusively for networking with instructors from active NAFTC Education Members. Instructors may post training tips or new materials they have developed to share with the community or suggest updates to NAFTC materials for everyone’s use according to our Terms and Conditions. Instructors whose institutions maintain an active NAFTC Membership are eligible to access the Instructor Community Room as a benefit of membership. As part of the annual membership subscription, the Education Member institution is asked to supply the names and emails for all automotive instructors which NAFTC HQ enters into the Learning Center as eligible for Instructor Community Room access. Instructors claim their individual account through an initial log-in procedure.

For New Instructors: If you are a new instructor to your NAFTC Education Member department and do not have access to the Community Room, send email to NAFTC@mail.wvu.edu and copy to your department chairperson with your name, title, institution, department name, and department phone number to request to be added to NAFTC’s faculty roster for your department.

NAFTC HQ will verify your eligibility with your chairperson as soon as possible and will notify you via email once you have been added.
